What's In It For Me
The CERT First Aider (BFA with CPR & AED) Course meets Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) requirements for Company Emergency Response Teams. The CERT Scheme was expanded to include a broader group of Public and Industrial premises with the amendments to the Fire Safety Act on 14 September 2020. In the updated Fire Safety Act (Chapter 109A), all premises with Fire Safety Managers are required to set up a CERT.
This version is delivered in an interactive classroom format, this course includes topics that cover both trauma and medical emergencies - with a greater emphasis on hands-on practice. Participants are trained and certified on how to perform CPR and use the AED.

Certification Obtained and Conferred by
Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC). Valid for 2 years.
Pre-requisites
- Language Requirement: Must understand English.
- Participants should be physically fit to perform CPR and practical exercises.
- Trainees with existing CERT First Aider - BFA with CPR & AED (Asynchronous e-learning and Practical) certificate or nearing expiry, please go to CERT First Aider (BFA with CPR & AED) Refresher course instead.
