Workplace emergencies can occur at any time, and a prompt, effective response can save lives and prevent further injury. The Occupational First Aid (OFA) Course equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to manage medical and injury emergencies in the workplace.


This course is conducted in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health (First Aid) Regulations under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and endorsed by the Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC). It covers vital topics such as CPR, AED use, unconscious casualty management, treatment of bleeding, burns, fractures, eye injuries, poisoning, and the safe transportation of casualties.


Designed to meet regulatory compliance, the OFA course ensures companies have trained first aiders on-site who can provide immediate and competent care before professional medical help arrives.

Course Duration

23 hours 30 minutes – 3 days (excluding breaks)


Certification Obtained and Conferred by
  • Ministry of Manpower – Valid for 2 years



Course Objectives
  • Instructor-led lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice
  • Assessment through both written and practical evaluations.

Course Learning Outcome
  • Course completion requires a minimum of 75% attendance, including 100% for CPR and AED
  • Requires meeting the set passing mark for the theory assessment
  • Pass all practical assessment components

Pre-requisites
  • Assume skills and knowledge: ESS Workplace literacy and numeracy level 5 and above
  • You should be comfortable with light to moderate physical activity
