What's In It For Me
Emergencies can happen anywhere, at home, at work, or in the community. The Standard First Aid (SFA) Course equips participants with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills to respond confidently to medical and injury emergencies.
Accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC), this course covers life-saving techniques such as CPR, AED use, and the management of bleeding, burns, fractures, and other common emergencies. Through a mix of theory and practical sessions, learners will gain the competence and confidence to provide immediate first aid, helping to save lives and reduce the severity of injuries before professional help arrives.
Recognition: The Standard First Aid Course is recognised by the National Registry of Coaches (NROC), the National Registry of Exercise Professionals (NREP), and Sport Singapore (SportSG).

- Sports coaches and fitness professionals (meet NROC, NREP, and SportSG requirements)
- Teachers and school staff responsible for student safety

- General Public who wishes to be prepared to respond in emergencies
Course Duration
- 12 hours (Classroom)
- 4 hours (Assessment)
Total 16 hours (excluding breaks)
Certification Obtained and Conferred by
Standard First Aid Certificate accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC). Valid for 2 years.
Course Objectives
- Instructor-led lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice
- Assessment through both written and practical evaluations.
Course Learning Outcome
- Achieve a minimum score of 80% in theory assessment
- Pass all practical assessment components
Pre-requisites
- Basic English or Mandarin proficiency is needed to participate effectively in the course
- You should be comfortable with light to moderate physical activity

Funding Information
Funding eligibility is subject to approval by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). At the point of registration, the applicable funding amount will be reflected, and participants will be required to pay only the balance payable after funding.
Course enrolment will be confirmed upon receipt of the balance payment.
To stay eligible for SSG funding, all SSG-subsidised trainees must use the Singpass app for e-attendance and pass all course assessments.
Participants who do not meet these requirements will be required to repay the funded portion of the course fees.
If SSG rejects the funding due to unmet criteria, participants will be billed for the remaining course fees.
Additional Notes
Trainees with existing Standard First Aid Course (NROC Trainees) certificate nearing expiry, please go to Standard First Aid Refresher course instead.
