The Medical First Aid On Board Ship Course (Refresher) is designed for Seafarers and those working offshore in accordance with Section A-VI/4-2 of the STCW Code. Approved by the Maritime Port Authority (MPA), this course goes beyond basic first aid care and covers in-depth emergency skills and procedures that need to be carried out in order to save a person's life on board a vessel, where access to medical facilities may be limited.
Skills covered include T&S, emergency childbirth and other primary nursing skills. The minimum prerequisite for admission into this course is the Medical First Aid On Board Ship certification. Participants of this course may be eligible for Maritime Cluster Funding.

You must have an existing valid STCW A-V/4-1 Medical First Aid On board Ship certificate. If you do not have a valid certificate or it has expired, you will be required to attend the Medical First Aid Onboard Ship First Aid (Full) course.
