The BCLS and AED Instructor Course prepares participants to become certified trainers in one of the most critical areas of emergency care, lifesaving resuscitation. Accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC), this programme equips aspiring instructors with the knowledge, skills, and teaching techniques needed to conduct SRFAC-accredited BCLS+AED provider courses.
Through a combination of classroom learning, mock teaching sessions, and supervised practicum in real classes, candidates will learn how to deliver high-quality CPR and AED training, assess learner competency, and instil confidence in participants to act during cardiac emergencies. By the end of the course, graduates will be fully prepared to teach and certify others in BCLS+AED according to national standards.

Course Duration
- 1 day – 6 hours 18 minutes (Classroom)
- 2 Sessions – 16 hours (Practicum/Attachment)
Total: 3 days (Including breaks and assessment)
Certification Obtained and Conferred by
- Accreditation : Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council
- Certification Validity
- Validity : 2 years
- Maintenance of Validity : To maintain a valid BCLS+AED Instructor certification, instructors must meet the teaching requirement by conducting at least 4 BCLS+AED Provider classes within 2 years of the certificate validity period at an SRFAC-accredited BCLS+AED training centre.
- If the instructor certification lapses because the teaching requirement is not met, the learner must retake the BCLS+AED Instructor Course.
- Important: Refresher courses are not available for this course.

- Complete online Pre-Course Test to demonstrate BCLS+AED Knowledge before training
- Face-to-Face Sessions with experienced trainers for practical skills.
- Assessment through both written and practical evaluations.
- Supervised practicum with real class teaching experience
Course Learning Outcome
- Achieve a minimum score of 80% in theory assessment
- Pass all practical and practicum assessment components
Pre-requisites
- A Valid BCLS+AED Certification
- Basic English proficiency is needed to participate effectively in the course
- You should be comfortable with light to moderate physical activity

Funding Information
Funding eligibility is subject to approval by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). At the point of registration, the applicable funding amount will be reflected, and participants will be required to pay only the balance payable after funding.
Course enrolment will be confirmed upon receipt of the balance payment.
To stay eligible for SSG funding, all SSG-subsidised trainees must use the Singpass app for e-attendance and pass all course assessments.
Participants who do not meet these requirements will be required to repay the funded portion of the course fees.
If SSG rejects the funding due to unmet criteria, participants will be billed for the remaining course fees.
