The Standard First Aid Instructor Course is Singapore’s first and only locally accredited pathway for aspiring first aid trainers. Accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC), this programme provides the essential training, exposure, and certification required to conduct SRFAC-accredited first aid courses in Singapore.
This intensive course focuses on developing strong teaching competencies, equipping candidates with proven instructional techniques, best practices in facilitation, and effective learner assessment methods. By the end of the course, participants will gain the confidence, skills, and certification to coach and assess learners effectively, while delivering quality training in accordance with SRFAC standards.

Course Duration
- 1 day – 7.75 hours (Online)
- 2 days – 12.5 hours (Classroom)
- 4 days – 32 hours (Practicum/Attachment)
Total: 7 days – 52.25 hours (Including breaks and assessment)
Certification Obtained and Conferred by
- Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council
- Validity of certification is maintained by fulfilling teaching requirements
Course Objectives
- Online learning for theoretical knowledge, completed before class.
- Face-to-Face Sessions with experienced trainers for practical skills.
- Assessment through both written and practical evaluations.
- Supervised practicum with real class teaching experience
Course Learning Outcome
- Successfully log in and complete all assigned e-learning modules
- Achieve a minimum score of 80% in theory assessment
- Pass all practical and practicum assessment components
Pre-requisites
- A Valid Standard First Aid Course Certification
- A Valid BCLS+AED Instructor Certification
- Basic English proficiency is needed to participate effectively in the course
- You should be comfortable with light to moderate physical activity

Funding Information
Funding eligibility is subject to approval by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). At the point of registration, the applicable funding amount will be reflected, and participants will be required to pay only the balance payable after funding.
Course enrolment will be confirmed upon receipt of the balance payment.
To stay eligible for SSG funding, all SSG-subsidised trainees must use the Singpass app for e-attendance and pass all course assessments.
Participants who do not meet these requirements will be required to repay the funded portion of the course fees.
If SSG rejects the funding due to unmet criteria, participants will be billed for the remaining course fees.
