The American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode® Basic Life Support (BLS) course is a blended learning program designed for healthcare professionals and others who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. This course combines interactive, self-paced online learning with hands-on practice and assessment in a classroom setting.
Through engaging simulations, case-based scenarios, and skills practice, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and use an AED effectively. The HeartCode® BLS format offers flexibility in completing the online portion at one’s own pace, followed by an instructor-led session to reinforce essential lifesaving skills
